MAT 1
This class will introduce Pilates' principles of concentration, breathing, alignment, coordination and balance while focusing on and developing the basic fundamental Pilates mat exercises and terminology.
MAT 2
This intermediate class is a highly focused mind-body workout geared to strengthen, tone, align and stretch. Participants will learn to relax their body and breathe deeply while concentrating on the quality and accuracy of movement. A strong grasp of the terminology and fundamental mat exercises is required. Includes props.
REFORMER/TOWER COMBINATION SYSTEM
The Pilates Reformer is a spring-loaded platform, attached with pulleys designed by Joseph Pilates. The resistance will aid in gaining more strength and flexibility. The exercises performed on the reformer move through dynamic multi-dimensional movement patterns promoting optimal musculoskeletal performance.
CARDIO CORE
This all encompassing workout provides all of the strength and cardio you need in a 55 minute class. Using tools such as the BOSU, weights, resistance tubing and physio and medicine balls, CARDIO CORE class focuses on stabilization and balance while working on strength and movement quality.
CHAIR
The fundamentals of Chair exercises are introduced and reinforced in this class. The chair will identify imbalances from right to left, upper and lower quadrants and front to back strength and flexibility, It will challenge your body to correct and recruit the intrinsic muscle fibers to maintain balance, sysmmetry and alignment.
EQUIPMENT 1
The essential reformer/tower exercises and movements are introduced and reinforced in this class. Basic terminology and a strong focus on alignment, breathing and fluidity through movement patterns are stressed.
EQUIPMENT 2
For the client who has progressed through the basics of reformer/tower class, mastering correct alignment and form while executing movements. More dynamic exercises are introduced as well as essential exercises challenged to increase core strength and conditioning.
EQUIPMENT 3
Classes move at a faster pace than reformer/tower 2, focusing on building stamina, coordination, strength and agility. This advanced class is for experienced reformer participants only.
